Company Profile

Horizon was established in 1976 by Michael M. Kukol as a lawn maintenance company based in Saddle Brook, NJ. Using only a 21" mower and a 1970 pickup truck, the company grossed $6,500 in sales its first year. The company re-located in 1979 to Wyckoff. As the business grew and employees were added, the company was incorporated, providing protection for those employed and letting the community know Horizon is a solid company that will be here tomorrow. On April 15, 1980 the company name was changed to Horizon Landscape Company, Inc. Since 1976, we have diversified into all phases of the landscape contractor industry to provide clients with a company they could call for all their landscape needs. These include:

  • Landscape Design and Construction
  • Irrigation System Design, Installation, and Service
  • Grounds Maintenance

Our Team

At Horizon, we are proud of our team of employees. Through formal education, on-site training, and many combined years of work experience, we have built a strong base of men and women who maintain the highest level of workmanship. Many landscape contractors in the Bergen County, NJ area, though they employ some year-round employees, will still sustain a high turnover rate with seasonal help. Horizon is proud of the fact that our entire team returns to work year after year. Many have been with us for 15 years or more. As employers, we make every effort to be flexible, understanding, generous, and helpful; in return have been rewarded with a loyal, reliable, and hard-working team.
